chieftain rebuild.

Post #1 by si25 » Sun Mar 22, 2009 2:19 pm

been working on putting a chieftain back together after the previous owners got way out of their depth with the (simple) electrical controls. pictures to follow.
planned was a test drive yesterday morning in castle cements quarry haul road although didnt get that far. simple fault tho, just clogged fuel filters. new filters and another go next week.

test drive was nothing short of unbelievable. the whole machine worked as it should do, all gears ok, brakes were good, steering was good, for such an old and un looked after machine i could not belive there were no real problems. i invisaged the beggining of the end!
still yet to get some digi pics. i'm on it.
now its just a case of smoothing out the little bits.
