Did anyone see this? don't know whether or not they managed to recover it! Google wessex fm and digger.

If everything was thoroughly steamed off. Tanks, engine, electrics removed/replaced/rebuilt would it survive?

It's the electronics that would be toast, if you start adding up the cost of all the ecu's, sensors, computers, instruments etc etc + the cost of (probably) all the other stuff bsuggered by the salt water then I'd say (just as a pure guess) that the cost of repair would be too close to the value of the machine and hence an economic total loss.

I's say there would be scope for an enterprising individual prepared to source bits from breakers maybe?

I'm working on a machine that sunk in a bog up to the top of the cab. They're never the same afterwards! Shame the operator left the engine running! Engines don't like breathing water!
