Hello Alex,
I had a Drott run away like that and theres not much you can do except stand and watch.
The driver had parked up and gone for dinner. I had to take the bucket off (I can't remember why). The brakes weren't latched and it was out of gear. ( I should have checked)
When I knocked out the last pin it was away down the slope.
I failed to get into the cab to stop it and it gathered speed, cleared an embankment and droped into a lake. It had got away from us and we were helpless to stop it.
"Not one of my proudest moments".
Spent the afternoon waist deep in water recovering it.
