Equipment damaged during shipping.

This happened earlier this year, this equipment was en-route to Europe when the ship hit rough weather off the south cost of England.

All new equipment, wouldnt fancy picking up the insurance bill for this one.

It was / is a 789C Off High way truck, there was also a 988H caught up in the mêlée, this faired a bit better than some of the other gear.............

That telescopic cylinder on the side of the 789, is it one of the dumping cylinders?

yes, thats one of the skip hoist cylinders, normally strapped to the side of the chassis during shipping.

the machines should have been tied to the ship better.

Who was it that had to pay the repairs costs? This cargo is worth many millions in any currency....
