I am not usually interested in models but that first set up was really good Martyn. To me a bit reminiscent of our local brickfields with the narrow gauge railway. The whole thing looks so real with attention to detail and nothing too shiny!

The operation of that second walking dragline is so realistic - makes it very difficult to guess the scale of the model. Can you provide any further info please Martytn?

Found a load more videos on the Bucyrus 10W including a reference to details posted on the 'strip mine.org' forum in 2007, but can't find the site - anyone know the correct address?

The same builder's 9W is to 1/16 scale - maybe the 10W is too?

This one was built by UK model builder, Roddy Turner. Not only a super model but complete with realistic operating controls.
