Big Sottish Demags

here are some pics.
First is that well known monster at Roughcastle and the second is a 121 at Libry Moor o.c.c.s.It belonged to Levack's and was undergoing a final drive repair.Thats me in the bucket after giving Duncan Angus the fitter a hand.Note the D5B in the picture.It was used as a welding tractor for the scrapers and other wounded iron.Trucks on this site included some rare 773 Cat's

Think this is the right place to put these.

My contribution to this post, a couple of 255's swinging away in Ayrshire, taken 19th June 2008.

These are due to be replaced with two PC3000 shovels later this year, but this pair won't be retired then, they'll carry on working.
