Here's a pic of a machine you don't tend to see a lot of I think this one still see's a bit of action.

Hi Jeremy.I once worked alongside one of these in 1990.It belonged to R J Levack ltd and went new to work on the Elvanfoot section of the M74.They also had another rare Cat badged as a 231D.This machine was more suited to pipeline applications apperently.Last one of the 231D's I saw was in Morshans of Wigan's yard getting done up after a burn out during 2000.
