Insley exevator cold start

Post #1 by Lars-Gunnar » Sat Dec 15, 2007 1:43 am

Hi

I found an Insley line exevator from 1960 fitted with a 6-cyl Volvo diesel. I beleive it is made in England? A nice looking machine.

Hi Lars,

Nice bit of footage there !! Thank you for posting.

I think that Insley excavators were actually made in America :dizzy: I will have to refer to my books for conformation about this but I am pretty certain they were

Must of been pretty difficult to do a nice job with those machines? what with that short dipper stick & non moving bucket :dizzy:

Nick

Insley were indeed an American firm, Blaw Knox built Insley excavators under licence in the UK for a time.
