325C converting to Coal shovel

Post #1 by SRB » Thu Dec 06, 2007 7:40 pm

This is a job going through at the moment, converting a 325C into a coal shovel, taking the front end off an old 325B, boom stripped off, engine coming out for an overhaul, machine has done 12,500 hours and lookingto give it a life of another 12,500 hours. Undercarriage is in good order and sent the hydraulic pump away for test and report.

The 325 donor machine will be in tomorrow for inspection and strip down.

Will add more pics as the job progresses.

Engine out and inthe middle of re-build, frame washed off and inspected, hydraulic pump has been away for test.

Face shovel linkage removed from donor machine and in middle of repair.
