Monday saw the first of two RH120E excavators going to work for Scottish Coal.
Three passes with a 17m3 bucket to fill the 777F.

Nice shots! But it will take a while to get used to the colors!

Thank you Gizzy! I probably should have taken it when people were out of the way but then I can't say that it was at the top of my list and anyway, it gives you a good enough idea of what the new colour scheme looks like.

Yes! O&K sold to Terex and Terex sold to Bucyrus. Still the same machine though

If the takeover of TM by Bucyrus isn't one of, if not the most logical and rewarding acquisitions in many years, then I'll eat my hard hat!

Bucyrus (and P&H) have for many years pushed benefits that rope shovels offer over hydraulics as you'd expect, but they know that certainly below 500t the future is largely hydraulics.

If they exploit what both product lines bring to the table (not to mention actually owning rather than just distributing rigid trucks), then Bucyrus should prosper considerably.

I agree, the logic behind the Bucyrus/Terex Mining deal is compelling for both parties. All Bucyrus need now is the Le Tourneau line of loaders!
