A skid steer that picks its wheels up and dumps its turntable on the floor - look quite a heavy duty animal, with a hell of a bucket

Hi there Druid  that machine is a French built Pingon I have no idea if they were in anyway connected with HOPTO who was based in the States, just out of interest HOPTO stood for Hydraulically Operated Power Take Off.

Hello Druid,
Nice to hear from you.
I just wanted to say that Muir Hill made a mobile crane that picked up its wheels and dumped its turntable on the floor too. Same principle exactly.

Would love to see how they erected that Fred! I'm assuming that it unfolded like a Z and the rigger popped pins in to lock the lattice boom together? Bet it wasn't that simple in practice, I remember helping to put on a lattice fly jib on a Grove 40 tonner when I worked with Celtic Cranes in Taffs Well, absolute nightmare!!,
