Hello , made these pics at a friend of mine , who was a contractor and had 9 Mustangs during the years , of
which 4 are left : a 100 mobile (pic) and a 120 (pics) .
The other two , a 90 and a 220 , were hidden in a shed and it was impossible to get a good pic .
There are also still all kind of parts , like this traction unit in the foreground .

Have a nice day , DAJOCAT , the Netherlands

Great photos  I do hope some of these machines make it into preservation.

Me too, It would be sad to see these go to the great scrap-yard in the sky. :(
My working life revolved around Priestmans for many years. I used to carry out repairs for Priestman in South Wales and ran eleven of them myself over time.
Two Mustang120s, two 220s, four 108s, a168, a 2-18 and a 2-11 rubber duck.

Hi,
I was looking through some Priestman stuff today an re-discovered this old 1987/8 pic. I thought it may be worth a post.

I remember that picture! Takes me back!

Did the VC30 ever make it into production or was it just a prototype?

I don't think Rustons built any VC 30s :?: :?:
The only picture I have of the thirty is this one with the "New" sticker on the screen, it is dated 30-4-90 which was about the time of the Priestman / Sanderson demise. This may have been the only completed machine :?: :?:
Does anyone know more :?: :?:

Unlike the other VCs the 30 appears to have had a pair of underslung rams to operate the dipper arm and the arm does not appear to be operated by any mechanical, (rope), link to the sliding counterweight.

Here are some pics of the VC series 15 working in the Netherlands in the eighties . The yellow one is constructing a dike along a motorway for sound suppression , the yellow one is cleaning a ditch and loads the mud into a "watertight" lorry .
Have a nice day .

Fred why do you think the 30 would have a drum and rams?

Edit  I see! the under slung rams instead of a top wire and designed to give max push outwards.
