Your quite right Jeremy, the 160 does look the part.
I never owned one. I did do some repairs on one for Priestmans though. It belonged to someone out Eavesham way.
They had a Rexroth hydraulic system and a Ford engine, (380 I think), Priestmans own fitters thought they were the best in the range at the time.
For the record the other Priestman in your pic. is a 220. If you zoom in on the crowd linkage you can see the bucket ram has its own attatchment which is separate from the tipping link pin.
That can be seen in the pic of my 220 below too.

Thanks Fred I had wondered what the exact model of the second machine was, now I know.

I came across this random pic which shows one of the rare twin boom hoist Priestman machines.

Hi,
I came on this advertising for the rare Priestman 320 and the 220.
I believe only three or four 320s were built and when I was at the Hull Works buying a "2-18" in 1989 I was offered two.
They were with Priestman's dealer in The Netherlands, (sadly I have lost the pics.), but I do remember that one, possibly a prototype, was on navvy running gear with traveling chains, tumblers and flat cast track pads. The other was on tractor type crawlers like the ones in these pics.
It's a long time ago but I think they both had Dorman engines :?:
