The DEMAG H421 was used by McErlain at Ryefield OCCS, Denby, Derbyshire and delivered in 1980.

Of the P&H 1200 shown, W.J. Simms, Sons & Cook bought five of the first 14 built. The P&H 1200 weighed up to 183 tonnes, was available as a backhoe or faceshovel with bucket capacities upto 13.8 cu m (18 cu yd).The machines went to sites at Amberswood, Hindley; Millers Lane, Atherton and Pica, Cumbria.

Hi IBH, I remember the H241 at Ryefield on an open day there in 1986 - there's pictures of it on this post. I also remember one of the P & H 1200's in Dyggor Gaylords yard at Giltbrook (Where IKEA is now) in 1987/88. IIRC it was a face shovel.

The dragline is at Damside in 1992.Got a few pics one sat afternoon after work. Will scan them sometime.
Becher had 2 D8K's on this reclamation job of Cheetham Hill's at Plank Lane;Wigan during summer of 2010.
One of mine during late 80's/early 90's at Darnconner North,near Cumnock.it's a D8H.
Another one of mine nearly upside down!.Taken at Wimpey Minings Rigg Farm site during summer of 1991 near Sanquar.
Some of R.J.Levacks 769B's at Coleston Minings Crawik site in Ayrshire during 1992.These were in good order and came in handy for many jobs.
Last pic is a mishap at A.F.Budges BerryHill pit heap restoration job in Stoke about 1970.My father was on a 627 here.
