Helicopter Hymac

Post #1 by newjcb123uk » Tue May 26, 2009 11:54 pm

Now here's a wee bit of a show off post - but thought of CMN as it happened 8-) Was flying in the helicopter back from the North West 200 motorbike races last Saturday and was with a couple of friends and have to say all were merry cherry from the ample vodka provided at the hospitality tent (hic)

Me m8 Albert shouted back to me "look Chris! What type of JCB is that down there?" A quick glance later and I shouted back "That's a Hymac m8 not a JCB" Then John pipes up "Wot you talking about it's definetely a JCB Chris" I hastely snapped "No no lads I swear thats a Hymac - probably a 121c or 141c" (hard to tell from 600 feet up the extra 1.4 ft of undercarriage that would determine :ugeek: ) Well the gauntlet had been laid down and the 2 lads managed to get money from their pockets and place a bet with me that the offending yellow machine nearly a mile a way was definetely a JCB and not a Hymac.

Certain as I was I happily accepted the bet and the pilot listening in to our banter quickly did a "Hawai 5-0" U turn and had us on our sides propelling towads the ground at stomach churning speed. Hovering at just under a hundred ft I snapped the evidence that indeed the little yellow digger was infact a Hymac 121c. The two loosers handed the cash over and huffed "Typical fu@K1ng digger annorack" of which I assumed was a compliment :D
