Here is a shot I took today of our member Ian Stantons new Case CX130 on a site in the market town of Tavistock in Devon UK,
Sorry about the quality but I could only get to view it through the site fencing.
I really rate these excavators and I know that they are marketed in the USA as Link Belt and elsewhere as Sumitomo, would be interesting to hear what other members think of these machines

Re: Case/Sumitomo/Link belt Excavators
They are currently sold as Case machines in the US and Europe, as Sumitomo in the asia-pacific region and also as Link-Belt (who Sumitomo own) branded machines through the LBX company joint venture between Case/Sumitomo.
Also between 1991 and 1998 Sumitomo had a joit venture with JCB to build Sumitomo excavators with design alteration by JCB for the European market only.

Re: Case/Sumitomo/Link belt Excavators
Well my new mount the Case CX130B arrived today and I must say what a fantastic piece of kit it is, it certainly ticks all the right boxes for me, silky smooth hydraulics, plenty of power and speed, and a wonderful cab
Caused a few ripples on site though because as a few of the other longterm employees thought they would be in line for the new machine they are a bit upset that me as a subbie have got the drive on it I have been sent to Coventry by a couple !!
At the end of the day I am just providing a service and was asked by Peter Kingwell to drive it .....End of Story!!
Here are some pics

Re: Case/Sumitomo/Link belt Excavators
Hi nick ,Here in australia they are sold under the case banner. we also have sumitomo. There is a strong case dealership coverage here. With the case new holland merger i have not really seen what the dealers are doing. A dealer 100km to the north of us a few years ago had the newholland dealership taken of them as the also had case. The case excavator range goes from 3 ton to over 30 ton here. ian.
