PC 1000 blending

Post #1 by rayman » Thu Sep 20, 2007 7:19 am

this machine is on a pile of extremely rich ore. When a pocket of high grade is dug it goes into a pile and so is blended with other low grade material, say one load of rich to every ten of low. This is to keep the grades at a lower level and reduces the flow to the thickeners and wash plant. In other words it makes every ones job easier. This is the same machine I posted in a roll over. This is where the trainees begin both on the trucks and the diggers. slow speeds and production.

Give the man a cigar--you are both correct. Now I give you another "CAT" you can take it from me, they are not very popular here in Aus. mining.

I get the impression that as Cat stopped building mining (85 tonne plus) size excavators because they werent able to compete with O&K, Komatsu, Liebherr products.

Great pic of the Broken CAT

Never really made a decent big digger.
