these pictures taken in earrly 1996 during the redevelopment of dreamland margate,after it was bought from bembom bros.
the area shown was an embankment which we excavated & mucked away,it was then block paved for the new rides to stand on. you will notice to the left of top picture the scenic railway.

Jarvo's Kobelco, and Moonys 3CX and my old Hitachi .. its a shame they let dreamland go like the way they did .. it was not a bad fun park after the revamp .. and as for the scenic railway, will they ever rebuild it again :(

you are right about all machines but kobelco not jarvos mk4 it was jerry mk3 its predessor
yeah shame about the funpark unlikely they will rebuild scenic railway though

Yeh I used to love visiting Dreamland as a kid, we used to down to Kent from Southampton to stay with my mums Mother who lived in Sandwich ....Happy days !

Remember getting stuck in the ghost train when it jumped of the rails !! whooooooo!!!!! :lol: :o

Sad to hear it is gone :cry:

Its not quite gone yet Nick, but after the fire back in the summer when 40% of the roller coaster was burnt away, mysteriously, of course, there is nothing left down there .. all because some one wants to build more useless flats ..hundreds of them.
