During my trip to bauma earler this year I ran across this R353 at the Liebherr dealership in Hohenlinden. Its a 1962 model and I was surprised to see it in such good condition after 45 years.
Kind regards,
John

Great photos John, Thanks so much for sharing !!
Kind of scary to think that machine is only one year younger than me !!
Must of been a nightmare to operate in terms of vision ...not a lot of glass in that cab and I notice that large cross member in the front of the cab, must of made for a massive blindspot
Nick.

Crinkled sheet metal with no paint damage sort of gives it away.....

Ive got plenty of old iron. I notice it has something you rarely see now--- a boom with an adjustable length.
older machines often has geometry changes and the like available

Some kind of misunderstanding?
Most modern machines in 10-25 ton size can have split booms (don´t know the English word) that adjust hydraulically.
