JCB 3C REAR LEVER CONTROLS

Post #1 by Penyrheol » Sun Dec 27, 2020 11:24 am

I am looking for guidance in respect of the rear lever controls for a JCB 3C. The fixed anchor bolt that holds the right hand lever has worn to such an extent that the thread inside the mounting has been destroyed. The anchor bolt on the right hand lever threads into the spool block itself. Would i be correct in saying that the anchor bolt for the left hand lever treads into the mounting housing rather that the spool block. If so could I put a left hand housing on to the right hand side? I hope that makes sense?

You could always get a thread repair kit and rethread your blind hole, or more often than not rethread as a metric/imperial as they frequently are within half a size of each other, so for example a stripped 5/8ths will tap straight out to M14.
