Hello Dave,
I don't know whether you are aware, these are originally Marion 351M shovels. The models were changed, just by number when Bucyrus bought Marion out. These shovels were Suncor owned & replaced because of their high hours with P&H 4100 TS & Boss models. The 595,which I think there was 3 & 1 351TS high flotation models, will I very much dought see service again.I have a photo somewhere in my collection of the the Suncor 351M TS,with a snapped left hand side track frame,I will try & post it on here.
There were only 3 Marion 351M shovels made, before Bucyrus took them over & 3 Bucyrus 595 TS models for Suncors Voyager mine in Fort Mc Murray.
The first Marion 351M went to work @ Fording river coals mine in Elkford Sparwood BC & as far as I know it is retired now.
The 2nd was a dual cabbed coal shovel & is still in operation @ the Arch Minerals Black Thunder Mine in Gillette Wyoming.
The 3rd was the 1 @ Suncors Voyager mine.
A close friend of mine built all these Marion 351M versions.
I hope this is of some interest,
Regards,
Mark Williams.
