JCB 3c mk2 workshop manual

Post #1 by JCBthompson » Sat Feb 27, 2016 10:56 pm

Hi I have just bought a JCB 3c mk2
It's the first digger I've owned and I was just looking for some advice on servicing it and general upkeep of it the cab is rotten but everything mechanically is spot on
I was wanting to do a full engine service and also
Check the levels on hydraulic pump ect I've found a clear pipe inside cab is this the level for hydraulic oil also where do I fill it up?
So many questions to ask! So if anybody has a copy of a service manual that would be great
My email is zak1rs@aol.com thanks

Hi Zak Welcome to classic machinery. The clear hose inside the cab is the hydraulic oil level. The hydraulic oil filter and filler is behind the door at the back of the right front wheel. The engine is Leyland and oil and fuel filters are readily available. air filters are also easy to find.

Thanks for advice Hubert :D
I have attached a couple of pictures to this post
Do I take that big nut off at top to fill it up??
Also does the large round filter housing/tank
Unscrew once the bottom c-clamp kind of jobby is loosened from bottom?

I've found a link to workshop manual great stuff!
Looks like I have a lot more oil levels to check in morning before I put it to work!
