J.R. the Hard work will be flogging up and down that long road to Hull, is it worth asking your program detail for working on it upto the new year as the cold stuff is here now and that sort of puts a few people off, it sort of defines the Tough Un's from the slackers
I hope it all works out well for you, tomorrow I am working on a Hymac 580 track adjuster just off J6 M5.

TC there are a few bits I need to acquire before I hammer back up the lane to Hull; so long as the roads are clear and there are no forecasts of the white stuff then I am happy to work on it. Thanks for your input and while I remember take some photos of the machine you're going to work on tomorrow.

Hello Jeremy,
I congratulate you on your aquisition. I'm green with envy.
I suppose I'm too old to take on anything like that now but if it was closer to me I'd be happy to lend a hand.
Firm I was with had a couple of new BTs when they came out in 69. The tractor type crawlers were a big improvement compared to the Bs.
At least we didnt have to keep machining bottom rollers and turning bushes for them.
They had a big fleet of Bs and we were always working on the things.
Good luck with the project, I dont envy you all that traveling.

Thanks Craig and Fred yes the travelling will make the work harder but I only intend taking things at a steady pace and have long ago learned that its best to do big jobs bit at a time rather than rushing things. Craig if you find a machine and somewhere to keep it then picking the mechanical things up is no big deal in fact it can be very enjoyable, different of course if you make your living doing it!

Many thanks Ante I am very envious of your fantastic restoration job you have made a superb job of it; I will be hard pushed to do such a grand job, however I have already started to get a few parts that the machine needs and also am ready to carryout a few temporary repairs to the cab roof which has a couple of holes rotted through it, until I can get either a new roof fabricated or better still a complete cab.
Was it the top or bottom rollers on your machine that were seized? And did you replace them or free them off? (I can't read Swedish)
