Hi Guys,
I wonder if anyone can help. I have an old KH60 and the last few times i have used it , it throws one of the tracks of the idler end. I have pumped them with grease and keep the sprocket bolts tightened up regularly , but this is happening more and more often.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated .
PS: is there an easier way to put the tracks back on without pulling the pin out and separating the track ?
Many thanks Tom
Kubota kh 60 track problem
Re: Kubota kh 60 track problem
Hi again ,
after a bit more investigation i pulled the idler out of the frame and someone had put a 3 inch hardwood block in there which the adjuster ram had gone right through the middle of. I have put it back together without the block and the track has a lot of slack in it now , so i don't know weather to make a new block from steel or see if i can have one of the track plates taken off to shorten them, Any ideas?
Also does anyone know how to tension these metal tracks correctly as i don't have an owners manual
Thanks again, Tom

Sounds like the tracks are wan!er£d and the last bloke packed the idler out using the wood. Either buy new tracks or take a link out as a temporary measure

Does the KH60 have a different idler for steel and rubber track options? Could it have been fitted with the wrong one at some point, have you compared it to the other side?
