New from Cat; 329DL coal shovels

Post #1 by Gavin Phillips » Fri Dec 17, 2010 8:58 am

It would seem that Cat has finally replaced the 325-series machine and their coal shovel variant with the 329DL. I have attempted contact with Finning to get a bit more information on these new shovels; they replied promptly but only have access to the regular excavator brochure and not something built specifically for surface mining.

I finally managed to confirm that the latest 325DL coal shovels were fitted with 1.5m3 buckets for coal stripping. Does the 329DL replacement handle a larger bucket or one of the same size?

Best regards

Gavin
