Case did market Kubota mini excavators as 'CK' models from 1991 until 1996.

From 1996 to 2000 Case marketed UK built mini excavators from Fermec who Case owned at the time, these mini excavators were designed by Kobelco.

The problem is they all want to offer a 'full line' as some customers lik one brand, but like car manufactures canot afford to develop and produce them all for the few they sell of some models, so to plug gaps they Badge engineer for some markets or jointly develop products. In som case they put a number o componts of ther own inplace of the 'real' manufactures verions and adjust the spec.

Ford fitted 'Perkins' engines to the Fordson Dexta tractor that was essentially the same as the MF 35 engine but was 'made' by Perkins from Ford castings and fitted with parts supplied by Ford and I think was opposite handed to the original Perkins engine it was based on.

Soon with cars you will pick which badge you want and colour and a list of accesories, but it will be the same car from half adozen different brands. A lot of th basic floor pans and transmione etc are shared by several brands and models now in cars and light commercials.

Badge engineering goes way back to the 18th century and the start of industrialisation.
