Bit of lateral thinking there, assume they would not let them pump it down the peir ?
And reduces out of hours working to catch the tide out.
(That reminds me - I see if i can find photos of Jackup barge at Scarborough on the sea wall. they should be small enough to upload as with old camera)

there is a amphibious truck similar to this up the coast at Hunstanton giving rides out to see and they go out a long way. These pier was cut in half a few years ago a pontoon on sea defence work broke from its moorings in a storm and hit the pier ,Looks like May Gurney are working on the lifeboat shed which is built on end of pier
the pier is 140 mtrs long (450 feet) and the lifeboat is beyond that.
