How they dug the Victoria Line - 1969 BBC Doc on iPlayer

Post #1 by IBH » Mon Jul 14, 2014 10:55 pm

I've stumbled across a 1969 BBC television documentary about the construction of London Underground's Victoria Line broadcast originally in 1969 on the BBC iPlayer - the programme has no expiry on its availability:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p00sc29t/how-they-dug-the-victoria-line
Lots of footage of mid to late 60's construction work including men, cranes, lorries etc and a lot of period footage of London and it's inhabitants.
Below is a random selection of rough screen caps mainly of the surface works.
N.B. the BBC iplayer may not be available for persons outside the UK.
