Trams into Brum

Post #1 by Jeremy Rowland » Sun Apr 13, 2014 10:07 am

I had heard on the local news that they were going to take the trams right into the city centre; being as the council has stopped just about every other form of transport from entering the heart of the city I wonder if this will really be of any benefit?

While I was in the city yesterday I came across the start of this work and I must say that the one thing which had mystified me was just how they were going to get the trams out of Snow Hill station into the city centre because there is a steep incline and rail vehicles are not the best at negotiating steep inclines or sharp turns both of which this new track system will have
Me thinks it will be very interesting to see the trams cope with this during the winter; I guess it will prove to be rather amusing. :P
