Beecher 657's

Post #1 by Mike d550 » Thu May 08, 2008 11:23 pm

Does anyone know if Neil Beecher's 657's are still working up in Northunberland at the Widderington/West chevington OCCS? I briefly saw them working while passing the area but couldn't stop because i was working and it was a 1/2 mile trudge to where they were working.

I know Banks have a OCCS starting up soon and was wondering if they were heading there to start striping overburden?

I also believe Neil's old D9G/H is up there!

Any help would be appreciated

Where are you from robrh120 ? I was told Banks were starting the stripping on that new site and had a look up there last week. Those 631's and 637's are from 1975 and still going strong! They are being push loaded by a Stokey D9T. Cannot wait till the 777f's and PC3000 arrive.

There is a Stokey D9 Driver that at best could say he is not keen on me, I would not let the midland banker near any kit I had to spanner on,

Amazed how they get the Job's tctractors

Hi Robrh120 - Yes that was me taking a few photos the other week, i had a day off work and thought i'd have a look up to see if i could find the site! Got some nice photos but the camera i use is a film SLR not digital.
I think it was Chris who came over in the landrover at first, he was fine, he has seen me at the foxcovert site a year or so ago and said just keep a safe distance back which is fair comment! He said the next time i come up he wants to see the photos i've taken which i will do! Later that afternoon a silver shogun headed my way and the bloke in that was OK about me taking snaps but wanted be to move further back, which i did until he went out of sight!

Am looking forward to heading up there again soon, if i do i will bring the photos up, the guy in the Stokey D9T came over and also asked me to bring the photos up next time! (not sure if he is the one you dislike tctractors)

If i plan ahead i wil try and drop a thread to say i am popping up!

Any ideas when the 777's etc are due?

Regards
