Does anyone have any idea what became of this company.
They were based at Brimsdown near Enfield North London.
They were suppliers of SGME batchers and paving machines.
I remember one of their service engineers called Fred only had one arm.

Think Amey may have bought them out , their plant dept had this name at one time in the 1990s .

Compactors Engineering were the Wirtgen planer and Vogele paver dealers for the uk in the eighties and early ninties and were absorbed along with Asfare planing and surfacing into the Amey group which was demerged when ARC was purchased by Hanson from Goldfields, if I remember correctly
