Alan Nichols Transport was a small haulage company my dad used to drive for in the mid/late 90s (I used to go with him on the weekends). They were based in the Railfreight yard on Radcliffe Rd in Southampton. Alan Nichols (one of the drivers) took over the business from Harry Phillips who also had a yard based over the road in Imperial Rd. After Alan took the business over the main focus was on work coming from the rail yard which was mainly steel products i.e. girders, pipe, mesh etc. There was only a hand full of drivers and the only 3 pictures to remember the company by:
