Hi Holger,we have a Tim Butler on our JCB database operating out of Southwell,Nottinghamshire.Not certain if this is your man!

According to Google there is a Tim Butler Plant Hire in Morecambe - Lancashire :thumbup:

That does ring a bell with me, I think they used to run some Hymac 121 and 141 machines.

In Heavy Equipment: The World's Largest Machinery by John Carroll the book has a photo of an Akerman EC230 belonging to Tim Butler spread across two pages.
