Yes, his name was Dave.
I worked with him on BNRR before we took the 631 over to Jamaica.

I worked as greaser at Penrith by-pass 1966/68 With the 4 electric start 657s scrapers.Norman Kenyon was plant manager, & under study was Dave Garbutt. Fitter with scrapers was Alan Wheeler from Bristol area. Operators were no 6 John Ashton,no7 Yigg ?Brummie lad. No 8 John Mc Gowan ( who later owned pub in Preston area),& no9 Len Pugh. D9 pusher was (wimpy)/Les Kidd.? His young brother Frank was fitter also. M/shifting slashers were Brendan& Noel O Conners. Section foremen were Des diamond, Pat Murphy, Ted Whittall & Danny Brennan.
