very kind of you tony. i am a bit wary of going off topic with this but as and when memories come back i will add them as seems appropriate. does anyone really mind if a thread here goes rambling on, or maybe we need a general chat catogory ? somewhere we could sit by the workshop heater with a brew and swing the lamp...

Paul i am sure no one will mind ..and i am sure that others will agree with me, but if something triggers a memory off, then good, write it down and share with us..what you might say will trigger off some one elses memory, and as you say, swing the lamp, .. this is what its all about, but please carry on rambling on

If you feel that you are going completely off topic then please start another thread, and dont forget that there is the OFF TOPIC section that you can use for general discussions.

shamrock green... more commonly known as morgans green. i never did get the hang of brush painting. it was'nt for the lack of practice on rusty old bedfords. actually someone got us painting a 3c with a brush once. it's a miracle i stayed so long looking back, but i was young and daft. now i'm just daft 8-)
