McNulty Bros

Post #1 by Dah » Mon Jul 13, 2015 11:06 pm

Hi

Just reading some old posts and noticed McNulty was mentioned.

I remember their kit near Langley Mill on an opencast (remember Ian - near Stonyford Boat?) before Wimpy took it over.

Didn't they have a yard Wingerfield way? What happened to them?

Dave

McNultys yard was on Rykneld Hill in Denby, Derbyshire. They ran a large fleet of D8's and boxes, D9's and 631 scrapers. They carried out overburden removal and sports field work etc. The yard is now housing. I believe they sold up. A mate of mine said that Mr McNulty was worth millions yet lived in a small terraced house.

Hi Ian,

They certainly had some kit on a opencast near Stoneyford Boad - mainly D8's, Scrapers and small RB shovels for coaling.

Dave.
