Fowler Man, some good fettling being performed, for the last few days I have been working at a Farm full of that old Farm Billy iron, I have to struggle driving my L/R in the yard for all the bits of old Fordsons scattered about, the people are dealers so I bet they know the price of every nut and washer, there is a few Fordsons about with spoked wheels and the steering drag link is up high going to a long control arm at the front, it even has a PTO that bolts on where a belt pully would mount, the drive shaft is on an angle going to the back, right by the door to the coldest workshop in the U.K. is a big chunk of Fordson with the rad and fuel tank etc dumped in the crap.

Thanks for your replies.
I failed to find a replacement tank, so not to be held up I decided to repair the old one.
Couple of copper plates and some solder and were in business again.

Hi,
I found time to do a bit more on the Fordson today.
New front wheel bearings and seals, got the tank back on too, couple of pics. below.
Next job is to turn it round, take the wings off and sort them out. I'll get a coat of primer on her the same time. Bought a new seat pan for it this week too.

Hi,
Found a bit of time to do a bit more to the old Fordson today, there's still a fair bit of welding and fettling to do on the wings.
I'll have them off next week , might even get a coat of paint on her then while their off.
I've got the clutch sorted now, it was stuck engaged, and she runs like a dream. I'll keep you posted.
Oh! and another little project started, the Wickham pump in the pic below.

When I used to be with the Glamorgan and Gwent club we had a member called John Todd he always brought some belt drivern implements to our shows, saddley he passed away some years back.I had my Fordson standard driving his bailer and my Major running a saw bench.I am thinking of getting a belt drivern implement to go with the standard in the future as its better than seeing a tractor stood around in a line.
