The pin for mine is shown with a washer and a handle welded on to help get it out.
Welding on a handle is probably your best option

I ought to have a look in my parts book!

I managed to get it out fairly easily in the end using a knackered, bent screwdriver and parrot jaws, it slid very easily thankfully, and now has a P clip inserted to hold it out.

Next time I bring it back into the yard I'll get at it with the welder I think

No real update on the JCB, but it looks like I have managed to claim a small unintentional victory on the 'claiming my garage back' front without consciously doing anything to get it.

Since getting the JCB and now the Range Rover it seems that by having some of my tools in the main business workshop has got to my brother-in-law. Suddenly I found all their clutter that was filling the remians of my garage (it's a third the size it was when I was living here back in the 90's) has been cleared out and gone through in both workshops, in order that all the 'oily stuff' as he calls it can go into the garage and out of the woodwork area. So while the weather is foul I've been having a clean up and chuck out (dedicated rat circus anyone) so I can get to the work benches and set up to do things in there.

Not enough space for the Lathe yet, but I with space to move around in there deeper sift and check out of various decades of tat cluttering up the shelves and wall space can happen and I know that will generate the space for it.

Happy days :)

Little victories are always the best . Trouble will be actually forcing yourself to chuck anything out on the grounds that it might come in handy one day . That's always my problem anyway . Anyone for 13 pairs of bath taps ?
Cheers Chris

I've been makingsome progress on the tidying and chucking stuff out front, but have been hindered slightly by an impatient brother-in-law who has rather taken things into his own hands and moved my rollcab, compressor and pillar drill in along with various boxes of stuff filling the clear floor space and only clear patch I had created on the work bench that I was using as a sorting area. So this evening I was back a couple of steps to create some sorting space again...which was going OK until we were hit with a brownout around 10pm and I lost all the lighting...and now we have a full power cut, but the mobile still has signal...

Cheers David, I'm back living at the house where I grew up and find the excuse to add yet more projects to mine and my family's collection ;)

Tim that doesn't sound like such a bad idea to me. Good luck with them.

I think my sister and brother-in-law don't share that view!

At the moment my JCB and now the P38 Range Rover have joined the Mini, the MF65 (which has a large topper, a disc harrow, a chain harrow and a tote box), the Thwaites Nimline, two ride-on mowers (a really good Honda and a shockingly rubbish newer Countax), a Howard Rotorvator (sadly not a Gem, my dad gave that away!) , a couple of cylinder mowers (an old Atco with JAP engine and a Suffolk Punch) and my nephew's Chinese Pit Bike...

To that I have my VW T25 Camper, two Land Rover 109's and an 88 plus a lot of parts, my Triumph Street Triple, the Lathe and 4 post ramp to house down here.

That's all the stuff needing attention in some way shape or form

There are also 3 cars (my BMW, dad's Panda and sister's Kia EV) and van (brother-in-law's VW T5.1) which just take up space...

Thinking of which the people who have their horses here are also occupying 3 of the 5 bays in the tractor shed (two stables, hay and horsebox storage) keep a caravan here too and a muck trailer :/
