Drott scarifier

Post #1 by martyn williams » Sun Nov 14, 2010 10:11 pm

Been working on a Drott scarifier.I intend to refurbish it and fit it to the BTD6.
Had a few problems to solve to get it restored. Was going to replace the ram rod with a 4 in 1 rod as the part numbers were the same, wrong :dizzy: I have a later ram that has collets securing the piston and the rod is longer.
My plan is to mak up a "hybrid" rod.Using some original bits and the piston off the doner ram.Worth a try anyway. The ram pins needed some gas to get them out.I am going to renew the hydraulic connection as the original is un repairable.I have also got hold of some ripper tines, rare as rocking horse whatsits I have been told.
Will post some photos shortly.
