Post #1 by martyn williams » Sun Apr 13, 2008 4:39 pm

I have just had an email from Peter Simpson, the editor of CP&M
I have asked him if he could write an article on Plant websites CMN in particular. He is looking for feedback on the magazine. If you could post suggestions or contact the magazine directly with ideas, information or restorations etc.

Hello all,the latest developement on the magazine .I spoke to Peter Simpson this morning regarding articles and a web page in the magazine. He will be putting in an article on plant websites,I suggested, as he is looking for feedback on the magazine he should join us on this site and introduce himself. He can then get feedback from CMN members which will benefit our hobby, this site and the magazine.I told him we want more publicity for this site and ACMOC. It sound like he is all for that idea. I told him how good this site is because it caters for all types of interest in plant and machinery and various makes.
I hope this will work out.So if any of you want to make a comment on C P & M please feel free to use this thread.

Hi Martyn,

thank you very much for your support!

We did this on our sitersite maskinisten.net too ... an online marketplace posted and asked for feedback. They got some hints for critical improvements and now I heard that 7% of the visitors are refered by maskinisten.net :D

I got a suggestion for CPM.......get rid of the regurgitated crap by the previous editor which as been appearing and get out and find some new stuff. The last issue was actually getting good but was let down by covering old ground with no real new interesting info/pictures. It still has not persuaded me too renew my subscription.

Head Down, Tin Hat ON.

The last two issues have been much better than other recent issues, though I agree the 'during my time as editor' feature is a bit pointless.
I quite like the new 'Heavyweight Debut' section for new machinery.
