Sorry to have to tell you that the hoster closed the account due to needing too much serverperformance. :(
It seems that we need to move.
This time maybe we will have to hire a real server ...

Holger!
Was there a limit we exceeded or did they closed the site on their own decision?

They closed the site on theire own decission ... we have no limits at that hoster, but if the scripts are taking too much performance and other are complaining then they have the right to take action.

The problem is: they cannot tell WHICH script it is!
They just say: "Your account is causing too much performance-loss. Do something about it!"
And I have NO idea what to do and where to look.

Or a web hotel that knows what they are doing. This hotel has always been having performance trouble. And didn´t they say it was another one of their customers that slowed it down with huge amounts of traffic?
And didn´t you remove quite a lot of scripts a week or so ago to speed it up? And they still think Maskinisten is using to much resources?

Maybe they should stick to sites without any interactivity at all? Sites with just pure html, no databases or scripts at all.
Or maybe they should wake up and realize that it´s 2007 now? Not 1987.
I don´t know the exact traffic volume to Maskinisten but I know for sure that it isn´t so much that you should need a dedicated server.

You should also remember that a dedicated server takes more time and skill to run than just hiring "a room" at a web hotell.

It´s not their job to tell which script is the problem but they should definitely show you some kind of numbers showing how much performance you are using and how much performance you are allowed to use.
I they can´t show you these numbers they can´t shut the site down.

Well, traffic is not the problem, even if we are closing in to 100GB/month.
But you are right, they have to prove some more before closing the account.
Well, but how do I force them? No chance!

Isnt there a contract that stipulates the behavior in a conflict?

Where are they located? In Sweden or Germany? In case they are located in Sweden they have to obey Swedish laws. And it doesn´t matter that you live in Germany although they might try to use that for getting away with it. You are Swedish, you have talked Swedish with them (I hope), and Maskinisten is in Swedish so Swedish laws have to be obeyed.
The laws I´m thinking of is Konsumentköplagen or maybe Konsumenttjänstlagen. I´m pretty sure that Konsumentköplagen is the right one.
Anyway, they both say that a thing or a service that you have bought should run as expected as long as the expectations are "normal". If the thing/service don´t run as expected you have the right to complain (reklamera) about this.
But there is another problem. They probably don´t know anything about those laws.

In case they are located in Germany the situation is different. I don´t know anything about German laws.

I´m sorry, this is getting difficult in English. I´m pretty sure that Swedish will do as the matter is of no interest for our non-Swedish members.
Holger, you know that I´ll help you writing a draft for a letter/e-mail to the web hotell if you want me to.
