Dictionary or Synonymes

What would you think about if we have a function where we can add synonymes, e.g. different names for the same item:
pushcat @ Ecology Lagoon

All functions are good but are they worth the extra job?
I know that Maskinisten and CMN are your own little babies but I realize that you spend soooo much time updating and surfing the sites. Thank you very much for that Holger!
What I mean is that a technical dictionary or a technical synonymes dictionary (isn´t that called Theasaurus or something like that?) would probably be beneficial but there might be more important things to do. Such as taking care of your family etc.

well, the question is, should it be a stand alone thingy for browsing (may be faster to implement), or should it be integrated into the forum (may take longer time to get)?

If you decide to do this start with a stand alone function because it is easier. When it works as wanted you can always move it to the forum in the future as you already have the principles done and everything sorted out.
And don´t put to much time in it before we now if it will be used or not. A simple test version will do for now.

Why not letting our members add or put in words in a special topic.

Banksman for example: a chort desribtion.
Have ve a similar name in Sweden or a different one. We can learn of each other so next time a word come up we know what it is.

Synonyms? yeah, better we members explain explain a word and not take it for granted.
