Hello CMN

Post #1 by andyb » Tue Sep 06, 2011 10:53 pm

Hello everyone on CMN , I have always had a love of construction machines and heavy haulage , but have been unable to do much about it. But I hope to soon be able to combine this hobby interest with another of mine Radio Control , I have a couple of Tamiya 1:14 scale RC models but will soon as possible be rebuilding these and hopefully adding to with some construction models once funds allow that is  , its a long term project , with if possible some scratch building going on.

Well anyway just wanted to say hello to everyone.

Andy

I started off many years with a grass hopper , wonderful fun toys , but for lovers of construction/lorrys there is a whole world of 1:14 / 1:16 scale kit out there for the complete truck and trailer with lights and sound unit you are looking at about £1000 the construction stuff starts about £1500 for a small machine up to £9000+ for a top notch machine what is possible is amazing.

Even scratchbuilt one of a kinds its a whole world like this scratchbuilt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6Gy1T6qxqQ classic Terex or this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yX0lLxuUJY scratch built walking dragline .

I am a member of another forum and have seen these being built with alot of hand machined parts .

Beautiful models!

The 2WD grasshopper was very good. I won several reaces against 4WD cars when I raced in a club as a little kid.
