I was happy to find this forum. I am retired and live in Western KY. I have been around heavy equipment all my life. My father was a dozer operator for Rosenfeld Concrete in MA. They bought a new D7 in 1957 and he operated it for 12 years.
I am a Viet Nam veteran and after I was discharged from the Marines I operated equipment for McGeorge Contracting in AR building the I-430 and I-630 Little Rock bypasses. In the winter I ran a Euc end dump at Granite Mountain Quarry.
I also worked for TriCity Construction widening Highway 71 from Bella Vista, AR to the MO state line.
I later drove semi on regional route first in the NE and the past 15 years out of Owensboro, KY. I have 2 sons that are also equipment operators.
