My name is John and I have been interested in earthmoving equipment as long as I can remember. I have lived in the state of Ohio (USA) my entire life and think that I am somehow a victim of exposure. When I was growing up the coal mining industry was huge in the area and the Eisenhower interstate highway system was being built. Earthmoving equipment was everywhere! I decided that I wanted to work in the coal mines and after high school attended the operating engineers training school and received my certification. Unfortunately; this was at the same time that the Environmental Protection Agency declared that Ohio coal contained too much sulfur and the industry nearly imploded upon itself. As it turned out; I took a job in another industry, but continue to enjoy earthmoving equipment old and new.
I am a collector of scale models and original catalogs/brochures looking to make contact with others like me. My primary interest is in rope and hydraulic excavators. I have many hundreds of brochures on all types of equipment available for exchange, and am also willing to purchase materials needed. Please feel free to contact me directly at;
shovelman@firewireinternet.com
I will try to positively contribute as much as I can to this forum. Unlike some other forums about equipment; you seem to be a really good bunch of guys. I hope it stays that way.
Thanks for your time and consideration,
John D. Cunningham

Re: Hello everyone!
Hi John and very welcome to CMN!
Thank you for your introduction!
Yeah, we would like to have an open and VERY friendly community here.
I am trying to provide the best scripts to enable this to become a platform for all machinery related sites.
As it is still in the early stage of building only the forums are in use yet.
But there will be more soon.
Ehhh ... nice picture!
A friend of yours?????
Please, dont tell me that she is married!
