Re: I need your feedback!
Hallo Holger,
in search of an official site of Le Tourneau and Tournapulls, I found also your site and saw, that you dont have much on this subjekt and so I deceided to write to you.
I dont know were you are stationed, but I live in Berlin, Germany and I used to work on the Snowy Scheme in the fifties and drove C Model Tournapulls, bottom Dumpers and Scrapers and I saved a couple of sales brochures, where all technical details are described and of course all kindes of pictres are to be seen.
Also I cut out pictures from films about the scheme of all sorts of equippment used there then.
And of course I could send a description of operating these peculiar things.
The reason I wrote to Le Tourneau was to ask them, if they had any reasons (copyright stuff), why I should not publish these things in the German Wikipedia Encyclopedea, because I reckon, this is really of common interest, how machinery worked back in 1957.
So if you like to have my material, just tell me and I will gladly send it to you.
I also have photos of big trucks and busses in Germany in the sixties, if that should be of any interest to you.
Thats it for now,
with my best regards I remain
Yours truly
Rainer Keller

Re: I need your feedback!
Hi Rainer,
this is very nice to hear!
I know we have some LeTourneau freaks here in the forum!
I am stationed in Mellendorf outside Hanover.
If you like you are very welcome to upload any information about the machines here!
And please do not hesitate to join in on the discussions!
If you dont have the possibility to scan I can do that for you.
Kind regards
Holger

Hi, I like the site and visit it regularly. Id like to suggest that there is a new heading of Scrapers in the main subject section along with Dozers and Graders. Such wonderful machines deserve their own section.
cheers

Sounds like a good idea to me Stuart,
I know that we could all learn a lot from each other, especially useful for operators like myself to learn more about the mechanics of our machines from experienced fitters like yourself
