Hello to all over the world!

Post #1 by Holger » Sat Jun 21, 2008 1:41 pm

Hi,

I noticed that we have very much discussions and pictures from the UK here.
Keep up the good work all of you!

But I want to push the other members to also tell about theire countries and theire machines.
CMN is an international site for every nation.
Recently we got many new members from NZ and other countries. That is great!
So, please shuffle up the threads and postings! Don't be shy!

/Holger

And we have lots of Dutch and French members etc. Some of them seems to visit us a few times and then they disappear. Thats sad.
I might tell everyone that your English does not have to be that good. I fact, even some of our members living on the British Isles do not have a perfect English but no one cares. And why should they? It is the construction machinery interest that is most important.

I would like to request our non-English members to write the English that you can. It is good enough and if anyone
do not understand what is written he will ask you and you wil get a second chance to explain.
Dont be shy!

And to our English speaking members:
I also would like you to explain in case anyone wonders about an English word or expression or even a way of doing our things "the English way".
I have asked a few times without getting any answer. :(
And I also must say that I sometimes have asked and got very good answers. Thanks!
You must remember that there are so much in between the lines in a foreign language, so much more than just the words, the phrases and the sentences. All those "extras" are actually what gives life to a language.
So even if a phrase is natural to you it might mean nothing at all to us. Keep on using your everyday language just as you do today. Dont try to explain if not needed but explain if someone of us "foreigners" ask for it and this lovely forum will be even better.
