Hi folks,
I found information in the official Belaz site about launchin a new ultra class rigid frame haul truck with payload capacity of 450 metric tonnes. How do you think.? Is the truck will be a good competitor of Liebherr T 284, Caterpillar 797F, Terex Unit Rig MT6300 and Komatsu 960 E, or just another paper tiger?

Strange steering system but I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

Struck capacity of the body is equal to the capacity of 363/400 ton class truck or even less.....very strange

Actually, if you load the existing trucks to the heaped volume capacity, you usually overload them (unless you are in very light material). Everything I have seen so far on the body volume makes perfect sense to me.

OK, I agree but Belaz 75710 with this shallow body was sent to Kusbass Chernigovez coal mine. Coal is light material and you 0.8-1.1 t /cub. m. instead of 1.8-2. or more rock, limestone and gravel, so the truck needs deeper bod to hold more light material.

Certainly that would be true if it was meant as a coal machine. However, most trucks used to haul only coal have special bodies for the lightweight material. Trucks that are used to move both the light material and standard rock, usually don't have an oversized body. This truck wasn't built specifically for this coal mine, it just happens to be where it was sent to test. It wouldn't make much sense to send a truck to mine for testing and development, if you were to limit it to one task, and one task alone.

Part of the development will be to adjust certain factors about the truck. This could very well be to add sideboards to the dump box. But that will be determined from the testing.
