Kalgoorlie Super Pit in Australia.

Looked down into the "Super-Pit" some years ago while on holiday in Australia. I pointed out to someone that the gap between dumptrucks wasn't very efficient, and he looked at me as if I was mad! Talking last evening to the father of someone who works in mining over there, apparently if the gap is more than two minutes, they BUY another dumptruck! Lots of pennies for one of those I imagine.

My truck was in St Austell 2 weeks ago Jim picking up an 85 with another low loader getting an MT50. Wanted to go myself really.

Denbow Jim, they've got an EA beach job as a regular thing here in Seaford, Sussex. 1 big digger, this time an old PC450, 2 B50's, 1 or 2 A40's and the 85. I think thats about it. Someone else may know a little more.

Ah i see, they have work here at Lee Moor china clay site reinstating the tips and dams and they are shaping up nice already, i think it's a 5 yr contract. They've hired 2 Liebherr dozers on this job i put pics of it up last year (Liebherr 764 ) in dozer topic. If you want to come down for a holiday come and stay at the local hotel in the village ,real ales,steak house and views looking from Dartmoor into Plymouth Sound and if that's not enough we could meet up and go plant spotting together .

Do you have any dogs mate,if so i have two so there's scenic dog walking on the moors or plymouth's barbican and hoe and shopping in the city center and buckland abbey to name a few. If your interested the hotel in the village is where the wife works and she is good friends with the owners daughter so probably could get you a good rate and room with a good view. pm me if it's something you and your wife might like to do mate and i'll sort it out for you.

I was actually kidding! But now you come to mention it I'd like a holiday down there, the kids would love Fowey, Mevva, Eden and the other little villages. Maybe in the summer when the weathers better.

The offers there mate. why go to Cornwall, Devon is just as good if not better and you have to come through Devon to get to Cornwall .
