Re: KOMATSU HD 785 DUMPTRUCKS
Just got back from the Banks OCCS, Brenkley, to see their new Komatsu HD785 trucks. Good looking trucks, well priced and stronger than the CAT 777F, more to go there too. Pics to follow soon and look out for a forthcoming feature in EARTHMOVERS

It's a bit ironic that when working on them at Greenburn the serial numbers of some of those HCL HD785's were in fact ex Law Mining trucks from Garleffan opencast which I spent a lot of time on and now there is 12 new HD785-7 trucks now going into Greenburn for Kier.

Hi
I would like to know what part of the HD785-3 is a copy of the Cat 777
It has a different engine type and set up
It has the torque convertor built into the transmission and is remote mounted, instead of the converter on the back of the engine and the tranny mounted to the rear axle.
It has different mounted front and rear suspension set up
The park brake is a single disc brake with three calipers mounted on the diff input pinion
The wheels are fitted with a tapered locking band

Not sure where the copying is with this model!!!
